چکیده

Sand grains are ubiquitous in the Earth’s system, and found different environmental settings globally, but sand itself as a physical object has multiple conflicting meanings with respect to both its agglomeration into landforms such dunes beaches, how dynamics have cultural significance meaning. This study takes transdisciplinary approach towards examining of sand, focusing on spatiotemporal pheneomenon that exists contexts within Earth system. The nature spatiotemporalities framed this through concepts presence, absence transience, which key interpretive approaches lie at interface phenomenological worlds interact each other. is new innovative understanding people–environment relationships. These then discussed using examples values ascribed desert dune sandy beach landscapes, drawn from locations globally. show dynamic geomorphic changes taking place landscapes (sandscapes) by erosion deposition (determining presence landscapes) pose challenges for ways people make sense of, locate, value these landscapes. uncertainty arises constant change (the transience sandscapes) highlights sandscapes can hold, represents comforting yet also unsettling vivid symbol human–Earth

Destruction of Amylopectin in the Presence and Absence of TiO2 Nanoparticles

Today, the use of natural polymers and their replacement with synthetic polymers in various fields of science has attracted much attention. Reducing the associated risks, easy access, and being cost-effective are among the advantages of using natural polymers compared to the synthetic polymers. In this research, the destruction of amylopectin in the presence and absence of titanium dioxide nano...

A follow-up of Beagle dogs intradermally infected with Leishmania chagasi in the presence or absence of sand fly saliva.

In this study, we compare the development of infection and/or disease in Beagle dogs intradermally infected with Leishmania chagasi, in the presence or absence of Lutzomyia longipalpis saliva, with those of intravenously infected animals. Spleen samples of all the animals inoculated with parasites had positive polymerase chain reaction tests for Leishmania DNA. Positive spleen cultures for Leis...

The Presence of Consciousness in Absence Seizures

This paper examines three respects in which the study of epileptic absence seizures promises to inform our understanding of consciousness. Firstly, it has the potential to bear on debates concerning the behavioural and cognitive functions associated with consciousness. Secondly, it has the potential to illuminate the relationship between background states (or 'levels') of consciousness and the ...
